The Old Country Market Coombs Creamery features pre-grown sedum blankets that are grown locally and harvested like sod. The soilless system consists of a sedum blanket with eight to ten species of sedum that is installed by rolling directly on top of loose-laid base layers including retention fleece, drainage and root barrier.
At 58 kg per square metre for the saturated weight, this soilless pre-vegetated green roof system is lightweight and avoids excessive loading. The LiteN’Less green roof is an ideal solution for various building structures, including retrofits and warehouses. Green roof components are delivered in rolls which make it more economical to transport, and easier to install and maintain. The components are also retractable for easy roof membrane access.
