Yonge Sheppard Centre

BDP Quadrangle and landscape architect STUDIO tla designed the renewed Yonge Sheppard Centre originally built in 1976.  The facelift includes sustainable features such as the TerraExt green roof system. The 6000 square metres of green roofs help manage stormwater onsite, minimize heat island effect, protect the roofing membrane and offer pollinator habitat and nourishment.

Environmental Makeover

The TerraExt extensive green roof system is part of an environmental makeover of a cherished community hub in North York. It provides much-needed green space to be enjoyed by pollinators as well as occupants of overlooking towers.
