Guild Inn Estate

Historical Meets State-of-the-Art

Architects Giancarlo Garofalo, Peter Pascaris of Queen’s Quay Architects International and heritage consultant Philip Goldsmith, bridged the old with the new with contemporary additions to the restored historical Guild Inn Estate.  The green roof on this low impact development minimizes stormwater pollution onto the surrounding Scarborough Bluffs and woodlands.

Bridging the Old and the New

Overlooking Lake Ontario, the Guild Inn Estate is an important element of Toronto’s cultural heritage and one of the city’s premier event destinations. The soilless green roofs integrate the new development into the natural landscape, help manage stormwater and provide multiple other environmental benefits.
